UKRAINE FUNDRAISER

  • ...........

Richard Schmid often said, "Art has the power to do good," and we agree!

We are asking you, artists and art lovers, to join us to help make a real difference for those in desperate need due to the horrific, ongoing invasion of Ukraine. In Richard's honor, we created a GoFundMe page to raise money for World Central Kitchen, Inc (WCK). Founded by renowned chef José Andrés, WCK has served over 16 million meals with teams active in 110 cities and towns in Ukraine.

A GIFT OF ART

When we reach our goal of $10,000 we will randomly pick 10 names from those who donated through this GoFundMe page, and the 10 winners will receive a signed lithograph titled ROSE AND NANCY AT THE MET (24” x 18”). Richard produced this print from a special painting inspired by a trip to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City with good friend and colleague Rose Franzten and me. Our day at the museum culminated in the grand Sculpture Garden, where we all stood in awe of the power of Art.

These ten winners will receive this hand-signed lithograph along with a special thank you card from Richard’s daughter, Molly

  • ABOUT WORLD CENTRAL KITCHEN

WCK has built a logistics network of delivery vans, trucks, trains, and warehouses throughout the country, delivering over 8 million pounds of food to families—sometimes in areas completely cut off due to fighting and near the Russian border. As demonstrated by the recent shelling in Kharkiv, the WCK staff and volunteers put their lives on the line to provide one of the most basic necessities to the people affected by this war.
