We are excited to return to the 12th Annual Plein Air Convention & Expo, May 19–23, 2025, in beautiful Reno/Lake Tahoe, Nevada! This year, we’re especially thrilled to share that Richard’s daughters, Bettina and Molly Schmid, will host the table. It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet them in person, hear a few behind-the-scenes stories, and celebrate the deep family connection behind Richard’s extraordinary body of work. Last year at PACE, it was amazing to see how energized and inspired everyone was. Being around many passionate artists, all painting and learning together in Cherokee, North Carolina, made it a truly memorable experience. After last year's warm welcome, we look forward to reconnecting with so many friends and fellow artists and making new friends in the art community. For the big occasion, we’re bringing along some special new items we can’t wait to share with you. We’re proud to debut the highly anticipated new book, PORTRAIT & FIGURE PAINTINGS—a stunning collection that beautifully showcases Richard Schmid’s lifelong love of portraiture and figure painting. You’ll also find two elegant new greeting cards featuring Richard’s iconic paintings, ORCHIDS and CARRIAGES AT THE PLAZA—perfect for sharing or framing. Adding a bit of fun to the table, we're introducing a cheerful “Art makes me happy” Magnet, a playful reflection of Richard’s magnetic humor, and the new Schmid Signature Cap, sure to inspire wherever you go. Plus, our beautifully remastered 4K videos will be streaming at the table, and for collectors, our complete line of signed, limited-edition lithographs will be available for purchase.
